Old Plains Settlement

The first base ever! I picked this spot because it had sheep.

This is probably the most "complete" base in this world. As is often the case, there is a massive cave system beneath it - I remember the thrill of exploring for ages underground, only to realize I'd reached a spot right under my basement.

Minecraft really gives you a sense of "place" unlike any other game. Even in other great survival games like Valheim, the land itself is less dynamic and you miss that thrill of being able to build whatever you want on the surface, underground, or in between.

This base is very close to 0:0. Here is a shot that shows the original spawn:
